MICHAEL BOYER L.Ac.
Michael Boyer L.Ac. has spent over 25 years honing his skills in the healing arts. An early passion for yoga and shiatsu massage served as a springboard into the field of Chinese Medicine and, in 1995, Michael graduated from Oakland’s Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences with a Master of Science Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Michael has treated thousands of patients from every walk of life and for a vast array of conditions. In addition to his invaluable experience in internal medicine, women’s health, pain management, and cosmetic acupuncture, Michael has garnered a special reputation in sports medicine; working with Olympic gold medalists, professional athletes, sports teams, and ballet companies.
His expertise is as respected by the academics as it is by his patients. As a past faculty member at the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland, Michael has worked as a professor of acupuncture, ethics, and practice management. He is also an item writer and examiner for NCCAOM’s national certification examination and the author of two books about Chinese herbs and formulas.
Michael Boyer, L.Ac. is board certified and licensed by the state of California in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. He is also certified by The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
